12. TakeOver: London

The Highlights: Of course, English audiences are always energetic and rowdy in wrestling, so they provided NXT TakeOver: London with an electric atmosphere. Without them, the show might not have been as strong, though the overall card was solid and featured a handful of above-average matchups.

The initial encounter between Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe did not disappoint, and the NXT Tag Team Championship match between The Revival and Enzo Amore and Big Cass also exceeded expectations.

The Low Points: Truth be told, there wasn't a bad match on the entire card, and essentially everything was enjoyable in its own right. Again, though, it felt more like a filler TakeOver than a true culmination of compelling storylines.

The Bálor and Joe rivalry resumed through the following summer, Bayley's reign as NXT Women's champion was just getting underway, Enzo and Cass fell short in their quest to become champions, and Apollo Crews vs. Baron Corbin was the weakest match of the night. It was more of a fun pit stop than it was a real historical landmark.
