Ranking Every NXT TakeOver Special - From Worst To Best
11. TakeOver: Orlando
The Good: Having been in a bit of a lull since the summer, the pressure was on for NXT to deliver big at TakeOver: Orlando, and they didn't disappoint in putting forth an excellent effort. Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode met in a rematch for the NXT Championship, and they had an arguably better match this time around than they did in San Antonio.
However, the match of the night was undoubtedly Authors of Pain vs. #DIY vs. The Revival for the NXT Tag Team Championship. All three teams had spectacular showings and never gave the fans in attendance the chance to take their seats. It was tag team wrestling at its finest.
The Bad: For the first time since 2014, NXT was not the talk of WrestleMania weekend. Granted, the brand held its TakeOver: Orlando event the night before the 'Show of Shows', but WrestleMania 33 simply provided more thrills and was a better show overall.
That said, TakeOver: Orlando was still an entertaining event from start to finish, albeit uneventful outside of Drew McIntyre's shocking appearance at ringside. That was due to no titles changing hands, and while there wasn't a bad bout on the entire show, it didn't have that same "must-see" aura of past installments.
