Ranking Every NXT TakeOver Special - From Worst To Best

10. TakeOver: San Antonio

The Highlights: Paradoxically, TakeOver: San Antonio benefited from having very little buzz heading into it. By and large, NXT has been a relatively hot brand in some form or fashion over the last the three years, but the build to the San Antonio special was almost nonexistent.

As such, it was an enjoyable evening that exceeded everyone's expectations. Although there were only five matches, each of them had something special to offer, including the NXT Championship main event between Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode. Andrade 'Cien' Almas and Roderick Strong also surprised a lot of people with their hard-hitting affair on the undercard.

The Low Points: For all intents and purpose, the NXT Women's Championship Fatal 4-Way was a ton of fun, but it paled in comparison to the standard that had been set by past women's matches in NXT. At only 10 minutes long, it was nothing to write home about.

Meanwhile, Tye Dillinger and Eric Young didn't open the event on the hottest note. They picked up the pace down the stretch, but Dillinger losing yet again when it mattered most was a bit of a downer.
