Ranking Every Randy Orton Vs. Triple H WWE Match Ever
3. Raw - June 22, 2009
As awesome as that last installment in the never-ending Triple H vs. Randy Orton rivalry was, the best match they ever had on Raw took place on the June 22, 2009 episode, better known as the night Donald Trump was in charge.
The WWE Hall of Famer "purchased" the program from Mr. McMahon the week prior and was determined to give fans a show for the ages one week before The Bash. Instead of waiting until that Sunday's pay-per-view for Triple H to challenge Orton for the WWE Championship, Trump had them wage war on the flagship show instead.
It wasn't any ordinary match, either; for the third time in three years, they fought in a Last Man Standing matchup with the gold up for grabs.
For a television match, this was highly physical and just an all around excellent piece of business. The finish in particular was beautifully executed with Triple H hitting Orton with a Pedigree on the stage but also failing to make the 10 count because of the damage Orton had done to his knee earlier in the outing.
The fact it ended in a draw wasn't disappointing in the slightest. Rather, it left the door open for an even bigger (and better) rematch at The Bash, which brings us to our next selection on this list...
