The winner of the 2008 Royal Rumble was John Cena, who made an astonishingly early return from injury to appear as a surprise entrant. Cena impatiently used his prize to challenge WWE Champion Randy Orton the next night on Raw, but Orton got himself disqualified to keep the title. At Elimination Chamber, Triple H won the right to main event Wrestlemania against Orton, but John Cena would be re-added to the match to make it a triple threat. The triple threat match wasn't especially spectacular, despite the credentials of the three men involved. Cena impressively held both men on his shoulders at one point, but that was the high point of the match probably. Randy Orton would win the match by punting Triple H and then covering Cena who had just been Pedigreed. It was on ok match overall, but nothing special.
