Ranking EVERY Royal Rumble WWE Championship Match From Worst To Best

20. Randy Orton Vs Jeff Hardy - 2008 (WWE Championship)

Royal Rumble
WWE

A potentially great match was rendered simply very good by an abrupt ending, Jeff Hardy's 2008 run at Randy Orton's WWE Championship had the benefit of a Madison Square Garden crowd electric for the 'Charismatic Enigma's eventual ascension.

It unfortunately wasn't to be, but WWE were oddly astute in their decision-making. Hardy copped a meaty 60-day suspension just weeks later for a second Wellness Policy failure, and was made to wait out the remainder of the year before finally getting his turn with the title in December.
