Ranking Every TLC Match In WWE History - From Worst To Best
2. TLC I (SummerSlam 2000)
Despite taking place some 16 years ago, as well as the fact that we’ve since seen 17 subsequent matches of its type, the first-ever TLC bout from SummerSlam 2000 remains one of the greatest in the stipulation’s history.
Contested between Edge & Christian—then the reigning Tag Team Champions—and their age-old rivals the Hardyz and the Dudleyz, you could easily argue that the foundations laid in this SummerSlam meeting are a huge reason as to why TLC has since gone on to become such a major institution within WWE.
Building on the success of their Triangle Ladder match at WrestleMania 2000, these three teams went to totally new heights—literally and figuratively—in a match that featured nine tables, five ladders, six chairs, approximately 18,128 satisfied fans in attendance and not a moment’s pause for breath. Even more impressively still, all of that was somehow crammed into less than 15 minutes of jam-packed action.
Long story short; if you haven’t watched this match before, do yourself a favour and find yourself the 14 minutes and 51 seconds required to check it out.
