Ranking Every Triple H WrestleMania Match From Worst To Best
13. Vs. Chris Jericho - WrestleMania X8
Trips really can't catch a break when it comes to following all-time classics, can he?
Seven years before HBK and The Deadman brought the house down in Texas, Toronto's SkyDome played host to an Undisputed WWE Championship throwdown that had to go on after an Icon vs. Icon moment in wrestling history.
With much of the tale heading into this one centring around The Game overcoming his first substantial quad injury and taking up a spot as the babyface looking to reclaim his spot at the top of the mountain, and some deeply unwanted Stephanie McMahon shoe-horning and eventual overshadowing of Chris Jericho in his own world title feud - at Wrestle-bloody-Mania, no less - it's safe to say feelings were somewhat mixed from the get-go.
Sure, Pedigree-ing your eventual wife didn't make for the best of babyface showings for The Game. But Triple H still managed to claim the Undisputed prize and end the show holding arguably his greatest ever achievement above his head for all to see.
And while the match itself may not have been quite on the level of some of their other entries over the years, Trips' selling of his surgically repaired leg and a bloodstained Le Champion targeting the beaten quad time and time again made for a dramatic enough 'Mania X8 finale.
Shame it didn't go on before Hogan recapturing the magic, though.
