Ranking Every Triple H WrestleMania Match From Worst To Best
15. Vs. Batista - WrestleMania 35
An Evolution one-two here. And while Dave Bautista may have finally got what he wanted, those inside of MetLife Stadium on the night of 'Mania 35 could've likely done without it... or its bloated run-time, at least.
That being said, there were still a few high points to be found within this marathon of mad maleficence. Trips yanking out the Hollywood megastar's nose ring with pliers and the former head of the dominant early 2000's faction hammering his one-time apprentice with a steel chain on the outside both provoked the appropriate winces and shudders required of a No Holds Barred Show of Shows epic between two veterans.
Admittedly, much of the drama was inevitably zapped out of the brawl due to the Triple H retirement stipulation if he were to fall, losing much of its intrigue on the back of Batista not shying away from wanting to bow out against The Game in the years heading into the bout.
Still, as Big Dave and what would turn out to ironically be Trip's last hurrah, it was a serviceable shootout.
