It's still not the best though. There may never be a more emotional, better-worked or satisfying title change in the UK than The British Bulldog beating Bret Hart for the Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam 1992.

The crowning moment of Davey Boy Smith's career, the match was also a fine example of Hart at his best. In his own book, Bret admitted that Bulldog was struggling to keep pace, so he had to be on top form to carry the work load. He did, and the match is still regarded as one of the best in SummerSlam history.

Though it takes two to tango, that's on Bret. He opened the door and paved the way for Smith to enrapture 80,000 strong with his biggest singles title win ever. The IC Title magic wouldn't last for Bulldog, but his family and fans will never forget 29 August 1992.
