Ranking Every Undertaker Championship Win From Worst To Best

7. WWF Tag Team Champion With Steve Austin – 1998

Undertaker WrestleMania 24
WWE

1998 was one of the most storied years in the Undertaker’s long career. He had that memorable first feud with Kane, then there was the iconic Hell in a Cell match with Mankind and he came face to face with Steve Austin as they fought over the WWF Championship.

Now as this was happening with the McMahon-Austin feud still going on in the background, there were of course a number of side attractions. One of which, involved Taker teaming up with Austin to challenge for the Tag Titles held by Mankind and Kane.

In a move that was a tremendous bit of foreshadowing for how little WWE cares about tag teams and that championship today, Taker and Austin won and the belts became a secondary plot device in their program.

The two would very quickly lose the belts and Undertaker subsequently revealed he and Kane had apparently mended their differences and were cahoots. Maybe Kane was bored with setting people on fire, maybe the Undertaker paid him a settlement in the form of unlimited red masks to compensate for burning his face.

Still though, despite all the nonsense this was quite entertaining and did help Taker’s storyline with Austin.
