Right, so now it’s time to get into the more serious stuff. In 1991, not too long after his debut, Undertaker found himself in a World Title match with Hulk Hogan. This was a huge deal at the time.

On one side you had Hulk Hogan, still the face of pro wrestling and Vince McMahon’s golden goose. On the other side, this new, fresh young talent that had the entire wrestling fanbase buzzing.

And would you believe it, WWE actually let Taker beat Hogan for the championship. Unfortunately, this wasn’t as amazing as it sounds, because while Undertaker won the match there was a screwy finish involved. Hogan only lost after Ric Flair interfered.

Undertaker would then go on to drop the title straight back to Hogan a mere six days later, before the whole thing was declared null and void as the Championship was vacated after yet another controversial finish. This could have been the Undertaker’s crowning moment, but sadly we had to wait a little while longer for that.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
