Perhaps the most underrated of all The Undertaker's gimmick matches, but a much more modern rendition of it - and for that reason, it match worked a lot better than most - the Last Ride match was named after 'The Phenom's secondary finisher.

Like his previous spooking offerings, the goal of the Last Ride match was to incapacitate you opponent so badly so that you could place him in the back of a hearse parked near ringside.

There were two Last Ride matches in the history of WWE - the first a WWE Championship match between 'Taker and JBL at No Mercy 2004, and the second a fun feud-finisher between 'The Deadman' and Mr. Kennedy at Armageddon in 2006 - and considering how popular (and, again, modern) the concept was, it's a real shame that we didn't see more of them.

Who knows, it could always make a return at some point. We can hope, right?
