Ranking Every Universal Championship Title Change From Worst To Best

3. Seth Rollins Downs Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam

Goldberg Universal Title
WWE

Brock Lesnar won the Universal Championship for the third time because of Seth Rollins' inability to become the top face of RAW. His mediocre feud with the former Acting General Manager of RAW, Baron Corbin, led to the downfall of 'The Architect.' Fortunately, WWE had the option of bringing Lesnar back once again and having him win the title.

This move angered the fans as they cheered for Rollins to win the championship for the second time. The SummerSlam bout told a story, and 'The Kingslayer' closed the show in front of an elated crowd in Toronto. Had 'The Beast Incarnate' retained the title at 'The Biggest Party of Summer,' the organization would have received backlash from its followers.

The former Shield member stayed at the top for nearly three months before 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt beat him to win the title in Riyadh. Irrespective of how the fans reacted to Rollins during his rivalry with Wyatt, no one can deny that 'The Beastslayer' created one of the best SummerSlam moments in recent history last year.
