Ranking Every WCW Champion In History - From Worst To Best

13. The Giant

The Giant may not have won the belt as often as our earlier listee Jeff Jarrett, but his two stints as WCW World Heavyweight Champion lasted a grand total of 118 days; meaning he had half as many reigns as Jarrett but spent twice as much time as champion.

Plus, the Giant, or Big Show as he’s since come to be known, holds the unrivalled record of winning the WCW title in his very first match with the company. At Halloween Havoc 1995, the Giant defeated Hulk Hogan, despite the fact that he’d supposedly fallen from the roof of Cobo Hall less than an hour earlier in the show…

On top of that, the win came via a stipulation that stated the belt could change hands via disqualification, while there was also an interference from a certain Yeti, so maybe I’m valuing it more highly than I should...

Nonetheless, the record still stands, making for quite the feather in the Giant’s sizable cap.
