Ranking Every Wrestling Wedding EVER!
6. Stephanie McMahon And The Undertaker
Steph and The Undertaker's near marriage is among the least romantic weddings in wrestling so far, mainly because she was kidnapped and forced into marrying him.
Vince McMahon and Taker weren’t getting along so well, so the respected veteran kidnapped the bosses’ daughter at Backlash, and his minions brought her out on Raw the next time for a dark wedding. She was tied to a symbol that was very cross-like, but the company would never come out and say that's basically what it was. While none of Taker's acolytes were quite dressed for the occasion, Farooq’s leather pants made quite the bold statement.
A couple wrestlers on the roster showed that they had some sort of conscious, as they tried to stop the wedding, well, three of them at least: Big Show, Ken Shamrock and Steve Austin. Only Austin broke through the front lines and ended up taking out the entire Ministry of Darkness by himself. The hug that Stephanie gave him for saving her is one of the best feel-good moments of the era. Despite his hatred for her father, The Texas Rattlesnake still showed that he's the ultimate hero.
The entire angle was incredibly ridiculous (maybe Vince should have just called a couple of cops who had guns to deal with Taker), but it’s an iconic segment in the history of Raw and still a lot of fun to watch.
