Ranking Every WWE Championship Reign Of 2023

6. Roman Reigns - Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

This hasn't been Roman's best year. Not only has he had fewer title defences, he's been on television significantly less.

In fact, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship basically exists so Reigns can have time off and the company isn't without a men's main event picture. Perhaps most crucially, the stories Reigns has been involved in in 2023 have been far more divisive, with some unnecessary twists in the latter half and perhaps a bit too much plodding in-ring drama at times.

At this point, the most important thing about Reign's hold on the title has been WWE's willingness to stick with one thing, even to their own detriment perhaps. Still, it's hard to argue that they've done a great job of adding to the majesty of the Undisputed gold.

When Roman does appear it certainly feels like a big deal. However, it also feels like the wheels are spinning in place storyline-wise until Mania. It might be the longest reign, but it's been far from the most entertaining reign this year.
