Ranking Every WWE Change Affected By The ‘Fiend’ From Worst To Best

8. Jerry Lawler

Randy Orton
WWE

You might be a bit surprised to see ol' Jezza here, but his WWE career was definitely impacted by the 'Fiend'.

Though Lawler didn't disappear for good after being attacked by the menace on the 19 August 2019 episode of Raw, his importance did start to dwindle. WWE installed him as a colour commentator on the program again by September, then moved on for good by replacing him with Samoa Joe the following April.

Since then, in talking head segments and even in-ring skits, the 'King' has acted more like his old self before he settled into the role as elder statesman of company commentary. His line of questioning for Aalyah Mysterio and the entire family on the 28 September 2020 edition of Raw was almost needly and provocative at times, for example.

There's a chance that WWE (and Jerry himself) decided to reflect a subtle change in his approach after the 'Fiend' ambush. It certainly seemed like he was never the same again. Now, he's barely even on programming at all.
