A match remembered more for the post-match drama than any antics within the Chamber, the 'New Year's Revolution' main event marked the final successful defence of John Cena's inaugural run with the WWE Title, and played into his immediate surrender of that very prize.

The Chamber match itself actually proved rather experimental, with experienced hands Kurt Angle, Kane and Shawn Michaels anchoring the title contest with relative newcomers John Cena, Carlito and Chris Masters.

The booking of the match played to the disparity, with Carlito and Masters working in tandem to surprisingly make it down to the final three with the defending champion. To be fair to 'The Doctor of Thuganomics', he'd go the distance too, working from the very beginnning and taking an admirable beating from every opponent, including a brutal DDT on the steel grating from Chris Masters that left him battered and bloodied.

This only played into the immediate aftermath further, as Vince McMahon emerged to confirm that the first ever 'Money In The Bank' cash-in was taking place right there.

Edge would famously take full advantage of the Cena's altered state, winning the WWE title and setting the template for nearly every briefcase cash-in since.
