2015 provided something of a rarity in that every match bar one featured a champion of some description. The one exception was the event’s opener, although considering that was the Money in the Bank ladder match itself, it was high stakes all around at this particular show.

Fittingly, those stakes saw a number of the company’s top-tier talents produce the kind of performances you’d hope for on PPV.

We saw one of Randy Orton’s classic RKO sprees, culminating in him nailing one on Neville from off a ladder, before John Cena and Kevin Owens produced their second epic in as many meetings in a unique US Champion vs. NXT Champion, non-title affair.

The action wasn’t over there though, with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose capping off the evening with an excellent ladder match in which Rollins’ WWE Championship was hanging overhead. A 35-minute outing ended with both men seizing the belt and falling to the mat at practically the same time, though it was ultimately Rollins who managed to hold on, retaining his belt by the narrowest of all margins.
