Finally, we have ourselves a successful cash-in!

Jack Swagger successfully converted his world title opportunity into a championship reign when he cashed in on the March 30 taping of SmackDown. Taking advantage of Edge’s attack on then-champion Chris Jericho, Swagger hit the ring and wasted no time nailing his Gutwrench Powerbomb before picking up the 1-2-3.

The eventual outcome was great and all, but he’d only won the briefcase a few days prior at WrestleMania XXVI—incidentally the final Money in the Bank match to take place at the biggest show of the year—so it wasn’t the most storied of runs with the briefcase in tow.

Plus, one of his few televised appearances between WrestleMania and the cash-in saw him pinned by Randy Orton in tag team action—hardly the best way to build up a man who would shortly be winning his maiden world title with the company.
