Ranking Every WWE Money In The Bank Winner’s Run With The Briefcase
14. Edge - 2007
It’s debatable as to whether or not Edge’s 2007 Money in the Bank run should even feature on this list, not because it lasted just one day, but because of the way in which he won the briefcase in the first place.
Edge had of course beaten the aforementioned Mr. Kennedy in their hastily-assembled match on Raw to swindle his Money in the Bank contract and really drive home his ‘ultimate opportunist’ shtick. As touched upon earlier, that contract was then cashed in the very next evening at a SmackDown taping, when Edge was once again nothing but opportunistic in pinning the Undertaker for the gold.
Much like Jack Swagger, Edge’s run was a relatively brief one, but what made the latter’s slightly more special was the surprise factor of it all—first in him beating Kennedy in the first place, and then in the speed with which he helped himself to the title.
