Of all the brief runs we’ve covered so far, Dean Ambrose’s is definitely the shortest, as it didn’t even make it to the 24-hour mark. In fact, it didn’t even last a single hour, with Ambrose cashing in some 57 minutes after winning the briefcase at the 2016 show.

A longer run with the briefcase may have helped this one rank higher, but in the end, the eventual cash-in was dramatic enough to ensure that nobody would be forgetting this one in a hurry.

Having witnessed his former Shield buddy Seth Rollins defeat his other former Shield buddy, Roman Reigns, Ambrose hit the ring and decided that he wanted to get in on the act as well. A few seconds later, and after a Dirty Deeds to the newly-crowned and recently-returned Rollins, he was celebrating his first-ever taste of the WWE world title.

To top it all off, those events also provided us with the awesome titbit that it meant all three former members of the Shield had each held the WWE title within the space of a single evening.
