It feels strange to put WrestleMania smack bang in the middle of the road.

Night one of WWE's twin-pronged experiment could be considered the better of the two, if only because it had freshness on its side and delivered that 'Boneyard' stunt show put on by The Undertaker and AJ Styles. However, night two was technically a better wrestling show - it had less inessential guff like Corbin vs. Elias and more long-term significance.

Drew McIntyre became WWE Champ, Edge proved to himself he could do this stuff again, Charlotte Flair became new NXT Women's Champ and John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt in a 'Firefly Fun House' match was...it was...well, it was like a fever dream blend of pop culture and old-school references.

Perhaps time will be kind to 'Mania 36. WWE couldn't put on the stadium show they wanted, and they did their able best to make the weekend special. If nothing else, they managed to get people talking with barmy fight scenes and title changes.
