The Good: 2010's Royal Rumble was one of the very best ever, but Shawn Michaels' sensational one-man show has been covered so much lately it's worth exploring what else made it quite so memorable. CM Punk's early one-man show was a riot, as too was Edge's surprise late return that resulted in a babyface victory for the 'Rated R Superstar'. Batista, by then submerged in his slimy heel act, was also a sheer delight, though in describing what a d*ckhead he was results in yet more discussion of 'HBK's incredible display. The man he fought just to fight was on fine form too - The Undertaker's match with Rey Mysterio was a rare and mesmerising treat.

The Bad: Michelle McCool and Mickie James went just 20 seconds to payoff the cruel 'Piggy James' storyline. James' vindication was at least earned, but should have lasted longer to maximise the impact.

The Ugly: Sheamus' WWE Championship defence against Randy Orton was so dull that it presumably planted the seed in an entire audience's head to banter them clean off an edition of Monday Night Raw several years later. 'The Celtic Warrior' simply wasn't ready for the role at the time, and wasn't given booking to support his unexpected push - Orton's disqualification loss was more to do with Legacy's failings than his own.
