Everything changed when 'The Man' came around.

Under threat of losing their favourite on SmackDown Live in Becky Lynch to afford Charlotte Flair another unwelcome push, fans and Lynch herself revolted to such a degree that a supposed heel turn became part of an anti-hero's journey to the promised land.

Setbacks such as a pre-Survivor Series injury were made opportunistic as a potentially historic WrestleMania main event against Ronda Rousey was left on the table, but her "straight fire" on television and Twitter has raised the games of those around her too. Flair, Asuka, Nia Jax and others have benefited from Becky's brilliance, whilst Lynch's own redemptive arc concluding at the 'Show Of Shows' could earn WWE years of goodwill from her deeply devoted fanbase.
