Ranking Every WWE Title Change On Raw

8. The Miz Def. Randy Orton (22 November 2010)

This title change, for a start, gave us one of the best WWE gifs of all time - that being the little Randy Orton mega-fan in the crowd who pulled a face like she had just been tricked into eating all her vegetables under the false promise of some ice cream for pudding.

It was also the beginning of The Miz's one and only main event run. After capturing his maiden world championship from The Viper in November, he went on to hold the belt long past WrestleMania, where he beat John Cena in the headline match with the help of The Rock.

Was all of this a little premature? Perhaps. The Awesome One's credentials as a Monday Night Raw leading man seem far more assured in 2018 than they did eight years ago, when his ascent to the top of the card was interpreted by many as a sign WWE was now scraping the barrel.

But, in any case, it still stands out as a brilliant moment. The main event scene in 2010 had been dominated almost exclusively by veterans like Cena, Orton and Batista - seeing anyone fresh and new holding the belt was always going to be exciting.
