Dolph Ziggler cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase in April 2013 remains to this day one of the greatest Monday Night Raw moments ever, perhaps even more so now that it's been made clear The Showoff won't be returning to the top of the card any time soon.

Like all of the great title wins, this one had a huge amount of emotion behind it. Ziggler had been with the company nearly a decade, his only other taste of world title gold coming two years earlier when he held the thing less than hour after being gifted it by GM-cum-girlfriend Vickie Guerrero.

He needed - and deserved - a proper title coronation, and scoring a snatch-and-grab ambush victory over Alberto Del Rio was the ideal way to get it, evidenced by the way that the Raw crowd erupted into a huge pop when it became clear what we were about to see.

If there's a complaint to be made here, it's that the reign Ziggler went on to enjoy, like virtually everything else in his career, ended up being scuppered by slapdash booking. He lost the thing back to ADR just two months later, just as his imminent face turn was about to catapult him to stardom.
