Where: Vengeance 2001.

This writer has never fully been on board with the end of the WCW World Title's lineage. Chris Jericho beat The Rock to hold onto that title at Vengeance, but something was a little...off. In storyline, WCW had "died" back at Survivor Series, so the WWF actually called Jericho's belt "the World Title".

Original.

You may notice, however, that "the World Title" is still referred to as the WCW one in the subheading. It pretty much was, but the creative team just didn't seem to know what the best presentation would be in December 2001.

It was still a historic night, especially for Chris Jericho. He beat Rocky and Steve Austin in one night to become the first ever Undisputed Champ. The mini-tournament and weird branding might not've been the most satisfying, but this did technically join the WWF and WCW's top championships together as one. That's gotta be worth something for traditionalists.
