Ranking Every WWE UK PPV Ever
3. Rebellion 2001
If you thought Rebellion 2002 had a great card, wait to you hear this one, which took place in the midst of the Invasion storyline. The opening match was inside a cage for the Intercontinental Championship with Edge defending against his former partner Christian. Although not as good as their Ladder match at that year's No Mercy, this is still very entertaining and featured a creative finish where Christian had his shoes tied together whilst his legs were stuck between the cage bars.
The mid-card was peppered with a host of good matches such as The Hurricane vs. Scotty Too Hotty, William Regal vs. Tajiri, and The Dudleys defending the WCW Tag Team Championships against The Hardys and The APA.
The two biggest matches on the show were Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle for the WCW Championship and The Rock vs. Steve Austin for the WWE Championship. All four men were close to their peak here and even though these matches aren't close to what they could usually do they were still immense amounts of fun. These British shows had been starved of match quality for years, so it was nice to see the WWE really pulling out the stops for the fans on this particular evening.
