Ranking Every WWE UK PPV Ever
7. Rebellion 2000
The city of Sheffield isn't a place you would usually associate with top wrestling but on this December evening in 2000 WWE treated the people to a pretty decent show. Although most of the company's top stars were here, it was only eight days before Armageddon 2000, so it's understandable if some wrestlers were holding back a little.
The standout match on this card was a rarely seen battle between Chris Benoit and The Undertaker. This is a forgotten classic where the technical Benoit focused his attacks on Undertaker's knee, thus eliminating most of The Phenom's power moves. The two went back and forth for 12 minutes until Undertaker wins with a small package of all things.
In the main event, we had a slightly overbooked Fatal-4-Way between Angle, Austin, Rock, and Rikishi. This was a fun and chaotic Attitude Era match, full of interference but nothing too memorable.
There was even an amusing title change as the English snob-come-villain, William Regal, lost the European Championship to Crash Holly. All in all, not an amazing show but most matches were fairly good. Worth seeking out purely for Benoit and The Undertaker which is a real hidden gem.
