Ranking Every WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match Ever

9. Randy Orton vs John Cena - WWE Royal Rumble 2014

Cena and Orton find themselves at the bottom of this list due to crowd reaction alone. At the Royal Rumble in January, fans in Pittsburgh had already watched one of the matches of the year in Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt, and then seen Brock Lesnar brutalise The Big Show. So when Cena and Orton faced off in a rematch of their Unification bout at TLC, fans voiced their displeasure at seeing these two lock horns for what felt like the thousandth time. The two gave everything they had in the twenty minutes they were given, hitting multiple finishers and trying to outdo their previous efforts, but the crowd were unimpressed. Chants of €œDaniel Bryan€ and €œthis is awful€ rang throughout the Consol Energy Center until the match was mercifully cut short by the interfering Bray Wyatt. Cena knocked Bray off the apron but turned into an RKO for the pinfall, but the fans just didn€™t care, and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was off to a shaky start.
