Speaking of reigns propped up by Hunter, there was something about Alberto Del Rio's short reign as champion in 2011 that stunk of the same thing. Del Rio became the WWE Champion after cashing-in on CM Punk at SummerSlam that year, taking advantage of Kevin Nash shockingly turning up to Jackknife Punk out of the title.

It was one of the many depressing points in which we all realised that the Summer of Punk had been sabotaged. Punk had taken the title off of John Cena, defeated him once again and was then screwed out of the title by Nash and Del Rio. El Patron was the champion, but he was arguably the fifth most important man in his own title run.

Del Rio would hold onto the title for 35 days, before losing it at Night of Champions. Lose it to whom, I hear you scream? John Cena.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
