7. Kyle O'Reilly Vs Adam Cole

A good match with a shocking result. Going into Wrestle Kingdom, it looked like a no brainer that Kyle O'Reilly would retain his ROH title against former champ Adam Cole. After all, he only won the belt at Final Battle last month after a long journey to the belt and surely Ring of Honor wouldn't switch the titles on another promotion's show.

Instead, Cole did regain the title after O'Reilly didn't re-sign with ROH prior to Wrestle Kingdom. Cole became the first ever three-time world champ in Ring of Honor history, while O'Reilly is surely now NXT bound, which will be a blow to both ROH and NJPW, both of whom put a lot of stock in the highly rated 29-year-old.

The match itself probably could have done with another five minutes as it felt as though KOR and Cole were rushing spots slightly to fit them into the 10 minute match, while the ending sequence felt like it was only just getting going when the finish came. Even so, this was a very entertaining match in the middle of the card and was especially memorable given the surprising outcome.
