The Undertaker's return to the Dark Side initially spawned a number of programs reminiscent of his feuds of yesteryear but once creative realised how fruitful it would be if they paired their newly-returned Deadman with some of the upcoming stars of tomorrow instead, that's when the magic of The Undertaker at WrestleMania was born.

His 'Legend vs. Legend Killer' battle with Randy Orton in 2005 is perhaps the most underrated match of his WrestleMania career, and one of the many reasons for that is simply down to the fact that it offered something different from all 12 of his previous encounters at the time.

The first time WWE began officially marketing his undefeated streak as 'The Streak', it was a match that saw the 40-year-old veteran hang with the young stud with complete ease and, as he was one of the few people capable of making his opponents look strong in defeat, 'Taker sold Orton as a believable threat to said Streak.

By all rights the blueprint for 'Taker's show-stopping modern-day 'Mania performances, this would have likely been included in the list of barn-burners if it hadn't been followed by the tepid match with Mark Henry the following year. That, however, doesn't mean we should overlook it because it was a surprisingly well-wrestled match between superstars with two completely different styles, and it was also a match that featured two of the greatest counters in WWE history.
