Fresh off two absolute 'Mania masterpieces with Shawn Michaels, 'Taker's next challenge to The Streak came in the form of old rival and Michaels' best friend Triple H. The second time this pair would meet at the Showcase Of The Immortals (though at the time WWE would have preferred if you forgot that), it had to be significantly different from their first (and nothing like their non-'Mania matches) if it was going to work. Thankfully, the stars aligned.

Well aware of the fact that they weren't going to match those aforementioned Michaels bouts with a wrestling classic, the two warriors thought it best to just tear each other apart instead. And that's exactly what they did, throwing fearsome haymakers at each other right from the off.

This one, however, is notorious for its excellent use of both the No Holds Barred stipulation and the storytelling that both men delivered through their in-ring performances. Yes, Trips' quest to avenge HBK's retirement and become the 'one' saw him go full-on Cerebral Assassin, destroying the five-star WrestleMania performer Undertaker that had come to 'Mania looking for another classic.

'The Deadman's sneaky victory with a well-timed Hell's Gate was a convincing way of ending it as his inability to celebrate or leave the arena on his own only added to the drama, reminding us that 'The Game' won the war - perfectly setting up their rematch the following year without having to announce it to the world.

An incredible war that saved a very poor WrestleMania, 'Taker's streak of legendary 'Mania performances remained intact.
