In spite of the fact that The Undertaker and Triple H strangely had little in-ring chemistry outside of WrestleMania, they had already produced two absolute classics on the Grandest Stage Of Them All by the time their final encounter came around in the End of an Era match, so the question on everyone's minds was: Could they make lightning strike a third time? The answer was, of course, yes.

A match built upon nostalgia, it was only fitting that it took place inside Hell In A Cell because it was such a staple of their era and those two men were, by far, its greatest warriors. And that's why it felt right that they ended said era by going toe-to-toe in order to find out who the best champion of Hell really was.

The inclusion of Shawn Michaels as special-guest referee and the callbacks to not just the previous three years of 'Taker/Michaels/HHH drama but the 15-year history between 'The Deadman' and DX enhanced it dramatically, but somehow these two part-time legends found it within themselves to pull a third show-stopper out of the bag as they produced a classic that stole the show from The Rock and John Cena main-event with complete ease.

The image of the three men hugging before the 20-0 screen was always going to be an iconic one, but the fact that it took place after such a hard-fought, well-booked battle made it all the more fulfilling.

What a way to end an era.
