You can't top perfection. That's what we've all been conditioned to believe because, even though the stars align once in a while, you'd be silly to expect such a phenomenon to happen twice... in a row. And yet, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels set out to prove that it was possible at the 26th Showcase of The Immortals.

'Taker and Michaels know a thing or two about topping perfection. Their riveting Hell In A Cell classic in 1997 was bested by their WrestleMania encounter 12 years later, but could they do it one more time?

Their WrestleMania rematch was a very different bout to the one they had the year prior, which made sense because there was more at stake: Michaels' career was on the line (alongside The Streak) and the match was given the main event slot that the previous one deserved. Those differences, however, didn't take away from it, as the legendary duo found new ways to entertain audiences by telling a more compelling story in the ring.

As Michael Cole correctly pointed out, it's rare for a match to live up to the hype but they pulled it off, as the Streak vs. Career match exhausted the crowd with excellent in-ring work, jaw-dropping spots, captivating false finishes and some stunning storytelling.

'Taker and Michaels topped perfection once... but not here. Here, they simply recreated it. And with that, the Heartbreak Kid got to bow out in the greatest main event match in WrestleMania history.
