Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Every Year 1990-2021

1. 2021 - Jon Moxley, AEW Revolution

Austin Omega
AEW

Yes, Bad Bunny's WrestleMania entrance was incredible and elaborate and all of that - but did he steel himself ahead of the risk of being exploded by swigging whiskey from a hip flask?

No, but Jon Moxley did at Revolution in a marvellous, low-key entrance inspired by - but not indebted like a lame tribute to - Atsushi Onita's trademark cigarette.

It was a tremendous, characterful entrance because it applied perfectly to the situation. It wasn't some mandated pose bullsh*t with no consideration to the context of a fight. It was perfect as an anti-WWE entrance. It wasn't the thing the robots have to do because they are programmed to look good for the camera.

It was a badass of a man facing death in the eye by pouring fire on his lungs.
