Ranking What Was REALLY The Best Wrestling PPV Every Year 1990-2020

10. 2011 - WWE Money In The Bank

Cm Punk John Cena

One of the greatest shows ever, it was but a moment in time. But what a moment.

There's a point, during CM Punk's incendiary entrance, where he summons yet more deafening support from his hometown Chicago crowd. It's precisely at the moment where 'This Fire Burns' descends into its nastiest and heaviest breakdown. What was once life-affirming begins to feel dangerous, like nobody makes it out alive if the result doesn't go Punk's way.

But it did, after a seminal story of Punk escaping WWE with the WWE Title by escaping everything Cena did in a narratively exceptional counter-wrestling masterclass.

The rest of the card was incredible too; two superb and different Money In The Bank ladder matches highlighted an undercard alongside Randy Orton Vs. Christian's modern masterpiece of a heel finish.

Spellbinding euphoria. How the f*ck did they f*ck it all up?
