Ranking What Was REALLY The Best Wrestling PPV Every Year 1990-2020

11. 2010 - WrestleMania XXVI

Shawn Michaels Jon Moxley

An uneven show that nonetheless was the best PPV of a rotten and wildly counterproductive year, the height of John Cena's hokey dominance and TNA's trash nepotistic punchline, WrestleMania XXVI was great when it was great, at least.

The Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels was an all-time classic that wasn't as spectacular as the prior year's epic, but was wrestled with a defiance and emotion that converged to create a richer story. Edge Vs. Chris Jericho was a very, very good match too, even if it would have played considerably better in an arena. John Cena Vs. Batista was something of a let-down, but it was loud, basic blockbuster fun. Triple H Vs. Sheamus hasn't aged gracefully, but it was a fine match all the better for a duration that didn't allow for Trips' desperate reaches for gravitas. The Money In The Bank match was unwieldy and contrived, but the stunts were as fun as they'll always be.

A show that makes you resent Bret Hart can never be truly great.
