6. Roadblock: End Of The Line

What happened: Heading into Roadblock: End of the Line, Universal Champion Kevin Owens seemed to be fighting a war on two fronts. First, there was his feud with United States Champion Roman Reigns, in which only Owens's title would be on the line. Then, there was the matter of his rapidly dissolving friendship with Chris Jericho. Owens had to put the latter issue out of his head in the show's main event, fighting hard against Reigns, but Jericho would end up the difference maker: he ran into the ring and hit Owens with a Codebreaker for the DQ, then revealed he did it to ensure his partner retained the title. The two men celebrated until Reigns and Seth Rollins attacked them.

Why it was meh: Disqualification endings to Pay-Per-Views are almost universally bad, and while this one wasn't good, it was at least on the better end of the spectrum. WWE subtly advanced the Owens-Jericho program while still screwing over the good guy and keeping the title on "The Prizefighter." Plus, The Shield reunion/beatdown sent fans home happy. Despite all that, though, on a show that was booked as poorly as Roadblock: End of the Line, it's hard to endorse a DQ ending.
