Rebooking WWE Great American Bash 2005: 8 Ways To Make It Better
4. The Undertaker Vs. Kurt Angle - No.1 Contenders Match
Angle was another wrestler who moved from Smackdown to Raw in the June 2005 WWE draft. His swan song was a deeply offensive feud with Booker T, where the Olympic gold medalist was more concerned with sexually assaulting Booker's wife Sharmell than he was with actually wrestling. It was a bad way for Angle to leave Smackown. While in this version of events he would still have been drafted, Teddy Long would make sure he'd signed a contract to compete at the Bash in a match against a wrestler of his choosing. That wrestler would be The Undertaker. Angle would claim he would only do it if he gets a future title shot, threatening to rob Smackdown of its prized possession and take it to Raw. Undertaker would agree, getting a title shot if he won, too. The Dead Man would overcome Angle in a good, long match, sending Angle to Raw and setting up Smackdown's main event for WWE SummerSlam.
