Rebooking WWE WrestleMania 2000: 8 Ways To Make It Better
2. Big Show Vs. Shane McMahon
That's right, folks - the four-way for the WWE Title is gone! Really, nobody wanted to see Big Show and a just-retired Mick Foley competing for the richest prize in the game, especially since there was no way anyone not named The Rock or Triple H was walking out of the event as champ. Foley doesn't actually make an appearance on this card, as I have opted for him to stay retired until he comes out as the Commissioner some months down the line. Big Show, on the other hand, does need something to do, so I've decided to put him in there with Shane McMahon, the man who 'represented' him in the four way. This one would come about as a result of Shane accidentally costing Show the No.1 contender match against The Rock the previous month at No Way Out. Shane O' Mac's wayward interference would, naturally, piss of the giant something fierce. So in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Show would be trying everything to get his hands on Vince's only son, only for Shane to constantly evade a beating thanks to help from the stooges, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson, as well as DX members Road Dogg and X-Pac. Linda McMahon would then book Shane versus Show (in the interest of fairness, of course) for WrestleMania and, despite throwing the same roadblocks in Show's path, the 'Big Nasty Bastard' would run through them all and finally get his hands on Shane. Show would dominate the contest and win, despite a brief rally from Shane. This would set Show up for a WWE Title match somewhere down the line and also mean that Shane wouldn't be anywhere near the WrestleMania main event. Speaking of which...
