6. JTG

Whilst this list has been incredibly silly so far, let's take a moment to talk about something serious.

On 17 May 2020, former WWE star Shad Gaspard lost his life whilst saving his son from drowning. The wrestling world was stunned at his sudden loss, but were in awe of his heroic efforts and selfless actions. Shad was best known for his time teaming with JTG as Cryme Tyme, a tag team that played on African-American gangster stereotypes. Despite being incredibly racially insensitive, the duo got over thanks in no small part to both men's larger-than-life personalities.

Cryme Tyme gave the WWE audience plenty of memorable moments, including teaming with John Cena and dancing with William Regal of all people. Whilst they never won any championships, they were consistently popular and continued teaming together even after they were both released.

As a unit, Cryme Tyme absolutely deserve a place in this updated Gimmick Battle Royal, but fate cruelly took that chance away. Having JTG in the match would make for a fitting tribute to his former partner and would remind the world of just some of the joy Shad Gaspard brought to us.
