Next up, NJPW’s Tempura Boyz took on the team of Cheeseburger and Joey Daddiego in a short but entertaining match-up.

Starting off with a handshake turned beatdown, Sho Tanaka and Yohei Komatsu wasted little time in gaining an advantage on their opponents. The Tempura Boyz quickly disposed of Cheeseburger, sending him to the outside. Unfortunately for the New Japan imports, Daddiego was prepared with some heavy duty artillery, laying in some big clotheslines and fall-away slams to his opponents in response.

From there on out, the action action was thick and fast, trading offence until the Japanese tandem took out Daddiego, isolating Cheeseburger and slowing down the action. But not before hitting Cheeseburger with some impressive double team moves, including a particularly slick Codebreaker/Backstabber combo.

Cheeseburger would take the brunt of the attack from there, as the Tempura Boyz looked to work over the weak link of the team. Their plan was working perfectly until Cheeseburger countered an attempted Doomsday Device with a Hurricanrana, giving him the opening to make the tag.

Joey stormed the ring to clean house and even the score, giving Cheese the tag once more before taking out Tanaka with a spear, sending him to the outside. Alone in the ring with Komatsu, Cheeseburger would eat a superkick before countering a pumphandle slam with a devastatingly un-devastating looking Shotei palm strike to Komatsu for the win.

Cheeseburger celebrated the win with two female fans in the post-match until Will Ferrara, disguised as a event security, crashed the party by jumping Cheeseburger from behind, inciting a hilarious exclamation of “Jesus!” from Colt Cobana on commentary.

Ferrara quickly made mincemeat of Cheeseburger, repeatedly tossing him into the guardrails, before Daddiego eventually returned to ringside to make the save. No doubt revenge will be on the mind of both Cheese and Joey the next time they and Ferrara cross paths.
