The latest on Kenny Omega's laundry list of injuries as an AEW hiatus looms.

Kenny Omega has a lot of surgeries ahead of him.

Dave Meltzer confirmed as much on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, stating that the former AEW World Champion had been working through issues with his knees and shoulders, as well as a previously undisclosed abdominal hernia, meaning he'll likely have to undergo multiple procedures.

Meltzer stated that February had previously been discussed as a potential return point for Kenny, but this may now be premature, as having all of his surgeries at once would require a lengthy rehabilitation process.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson reported on Wednesday that Omega may need to miss an extended period of time as a result of his injuries, the extent of which were disclosed in the wake of last week's Full Gear 2021 pay-per-view. As well as the issues mentioned above, Omega has been working through bouts of in-ring vertigo.

This week's Dynamite opened with Kenny explaining that he needed to take some time away to deal with some problems he couldn't do while active in AEW. This effectively wrote him off television for the foreseeable future.

There is currently no word on when, exactly, Omega will go under the knife. More information on his current situation will likely come to light over the coming weeks.
