Last night's episode of Dynamite saw Kenny Omega confirm that he will be taking some time off from AEW television after Full Gear 2021, where he dropped the company's World Title to rival 'Hangman' Adam Page.

Kenny opened the show in a brief backstage segment with Elite stablemates Adam Cole and The Young Bucks. The 38-year-old took ownership of his loss, congratulating Page for overcoming him, adding that he had a few things to fix that he couldn't tend to in AEW.

When Omega asked his allies to hold the fort while he was gone, Cole responded "Cleaner, I got this." Kenny leapt back in, saying he was speaking to the Bucks, not Cole, planting seeds for future storylines between the two.

Wednesday afternoon brought a report from PWInsider's Mike Johnson stating that Omega was set for an extended period away from the ring as he likely requires shoulder surgery. This follows a glut of reports on Kenny's health over the past few days, with the former AEW World Champion suffering not only from significant shoulder issues, but vertigo as well.

All the best to Omega in his recovery.
