MJF will defend his AEW World Championship against Sammy Guevara, 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry, and Darby Allin at Double Or Nothing 2023 this Sunday (28 May) - doing so at the climax of a storyline 'The Salt of the Earth' came up with himself.

Bodyslam.net's Cassidy Haynes reports that AEW sources have indicated that MJF is "the creative person responsible for writing the entire 'Four Pillars' World Championship program."

MJF, Allin, Perry, and Guevara have been feuding since shortly after March's Revolution 2023 pay-per-view, where MJF successfully defended his World Championship against Bryan Danielson. All four are effectively day-one AEW wrestlers, having been identified as the company's 'Pillars' early in their run, then spending the ensuing years rising up the card often in parallel with one another.

Allin and Guevara are both multi-time TNT Champions. Perry, meanwhile, has a 161-day reign as World Tag Team Champion to his name from his Jurassic Express days. MJF is the only of the 'Four Pillars' to hold the World Title thus far.

MJF, 27, has been AEW World Champion since Full Hear 2022, defeating Jon Moxley for the strap last November.
