Report: WWE Has No Idea When Roman Reigns Will Return
'The Big Dog' will be missing from WWE TV for an indefinite period of time.
Following on from a pre-WrestleMania 36 report that Roman Reigns will be missing from WWE programming for a "long time" is a new comment from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, who states that even the promotion's higher-ups don't know when 'The Big Dog' will be able to return again.
Meltzer quote-tweeted the following in response to a fan asking if Roman could be missing for the rest of the year:-
Reigns is immunocompromised after his two battles with leukaemia and is therefore a high-risk person during the ongoing global health crisis, hence why he decided to pull out of his schedule WrestleMania 36 clash with Universal Champion Goldberg. Braun Strowman stepped in as his replacement and ended up destroying the WCW legend for the strap.
Pulling out was, of course, the absolute right decision for a man in Roman's situation. He has a family and a life beyond the ring to think about.
It's likely that Roman will play things with extreme caution over the coming months. It is not known when the current situation will ease off but everything changes hourly, making it impossible get a clear read on how things may pan out.
